MINING services industry leader Sharps Heavy Equipment Repairs unveiled a new name today, with the company now trading as Inspec Industries.

Established in 1993, Sharps grew from an initial one-man band to a 200+ strong operation servicing clients throughout Queensland and New South Wales, with workshop facilities in Mackay and Dysart.

In recent years, the company has cemented their reputation for setting the standard in mining services, which led to the rebranding initiative.

Managing Director Rod Allen said that the rebrand was more than just a “name change” and is intended to “reflect what we have achieved to date, and our future plans”.

“Our commitment to our customers and partners remains our highest priority. By rebranding ourselves as Inspec Industries and becoming a complete mechanical and industrial solutions company with five product category offerings, we believe that we are providing our customers with the best selection of services available to the market today.

“This growth was driven by our team constantly looking to expand on what we offer, and delivering on our mission to support our clients, respect our people and generate levels of economic value that, together, set new standards of excellence in our respective industries.”

General Manager Darren Fitzgerald said that the Inspec Industries team are “excited for the next step in the company’s development”.

“Working safely and continuously delivering a high standard is already part of our culture – we focus on safety and quality, every time,” Mr Fitzgerald said.

“The move to Inspec Industries puts that front and centre – for our team, our clients and the industries that we operate in.”
