This resignation became effective today and coincides with the appointment of Darren Fitzgerald into the General Manager’s seat.

Sharps Managing Director Rod Allen said,

“Graham started the Sharps company in 1993, and in the subsequent 27 years has built a substantial operation, manned with dedicated personnel focusing on quality outcomes.”

“To lose someone with Graham’s knowledge and reputation is never easy, though I’m reassured of our ability to maintain and exceed our current standards by the quality and experience of recent additions to the Sharps Executive Team.”

“With Darren Fitzgerald stepping into the General Manager role, supported by Simon Vigliante (CFO) and Rod Wilson (Manager HSE), Sharps has an exciting future ahead.”

“On behalf of the new executive team, and the entire workforce, I’d like to thank Graham for his tireless efforts in building Sharps and we wish him well in his future endeavours.”

Darren is a 27-year industry veteran, having previously worked for Bucyrus, Hastings Deering and the BTP Group, along with other companies. An experienced Diesel Fitter, Darren has covered a broad range of roles, including Field Service Co-ordinator, Project Manager, Workshop Manager and Operations Manager.

Since joining Sharps in 2017, Darren has been instrumental in taking the Sharps operations to the next level. His proven track record of strategic leadership, and in collaboration with Simon Vigliante and Rod Wilson, will drive growth across diverse market sectors, serving both Mining Houses and Tier 1 Contractors.
